Summary

In-woo has lived a life without much hardship and has built a fairly happy marriage with her husband, Ji-suk. But there’s one thing missing from her life— a child. For the past eight years, In-woo and her husband Ji-suk has tried everything to conceive, but due to serious side effect from Infertility treatment, Inwoo is left barren. Still unable to let go of her dream of becoming a mother, Inwoo contacts a Thai surrogate broker. Ignoring her husband Ji-suk’s objections, she decides to have a baby through a foreign surrogate. Soon, she receives the news that the surrogate, Chanon, is successfully pregnant.
The ultrasound images in the weekly checkup emails become a lifeline connecting Inwoo to her unborn child. She announces her “pregnancy” to those around her and even wears a cushion under her clothes to disguised herself as a pregnant woman. Inwoo believes that once Chanon gives birth and places the baby in her arms, her life will finally be completed.
But one day, the emails stop. The broker vanishes. And so does Chanon—the woman carrying her child. Desperate, Inwoo flies to Thailand to find Chanon… or rather, to find her baby.
