-Sum: The central character, a young girl with a signature bob haircut who reflects the artist’s own bright and innocent youth. She is the heart of the narrative.
-Happy: Based on the artist’s childhood dog, Happy was a beloved friend and family member. His passing introduced themes of profound loss and longing into the storyline.
-Koko: A small rabbit doll handmade by the artist’s father. Koko was a constant companion to Sum and Happy, symbolizing the simple, steadfast friendships of childhood.
