We, Black Anchor Studio, are an independent game studio based in South Korea founded in 2020 by three experienced developers who have been working together for 12 years. Our team has since grown to 10 like-minded members whose aim is to explore and expand the possibilities of the game genres that we love.

We want to create a rewarding and meaningful gaming experience that reflects our own taste and identity as gamers. We’ve been developing our first baby, INLIGHTERS, for 4 years making and trying out as many mechanics and features as we could imagine, and now we feel that it’s ready to confirm the direction and present this game.

Starting with the hit title Spicy, which features Korean folk art and has sold over 360,000 copies in 35 countries, we continue to release 2–3 new titles each year, including Fish & Cats, a game themed around the cats of Jagalchi Market.

We have experience exporting board games to countries including Germany, the Czech Republic, Japan, Vietnam, Thailand, Hong Kong, the United Kingdom, and Russia.

While we collaborate with HeidelBÄR Games in Germany on joint development and marketing, we are an independent legal entity.

Currently, there is a worldwide surge in ADHD cases, and the emotional health of individuals is being compromised.

People are becoming desensitized to slow and subtle stimuli (often referred to as “popcorn brain”), which is leading to:

Reduced concentration, Diminished emotional regulation, Lower sleep quality, Weakened social skills, and Decreased learning ability.

In contrast, the small-scale RC car racing game pursued by our company is a real-world, motion-based game that allows people to interact and enjoy leisure time together.

Our corporate goal is to contribute to a healthier society through this form of interactive and emotionally engaging entertainment.

  • In the midst of a post-apocalyptic Earth devastated by rogue AI weapons, players take control of rugged RC rescue vehicles. As the board game progresses, they must navigate their vehicles across treacherous terrain filled with physical obstacles—collapsed buildings, barricades, debris, and unstable ground. Each mission on the board game triggers an interactive driving sequence, where players must skillfully maneuver their RC cars to reach stranded survivors and deliver them safely to the last remaining safe zone. With every successful rescue, players advance in the game, making strategic decisions and overcoming both tactical and physical challenges to ensure humanity’s survival.

Building on the pure energy from our university days, we aim to deliver fresh and joyful experiences to the world through original, offbeat ideas and carefully polished skills, stepping aside from the mainstream.

Our vision is to blend technology and artistry in 'ways the world hasn't seen before,' offering players not only novel fun but also deep emotional connection. Currently, Studio BBB is focusing all its energy on developing our debut title, MONOWAVE – a puzzle action-adventure game centered around the themes of emotion and empathy. (Targeting PC(Steam), Console porting in progress).
